[Rui took down the important notes. He leaves out the information that isn't strictly necessary, but he makes a mental note of everything she said. He pauses his writing.]
Wait-"again"? Er...Don't respond to that. I'm just glad you were able to get a new body.
[Rui will gladly focus on the Aura part of the conversation.]
Kind of like how you can get starts from existing plants. How interesting. Not that I'm planning on doing that myself, but what kind of health complications? How are you able to continue to produce Aura?
[He takes another look at the schematics.]
Is it a property of Aura or...Is there a mechanism that produces it? Also if Aura is the soul in your world does every living thing in your world have Aura? Animals? Plants? Given that your father was able to give you a piece of his Aura, is there a way it can be measured?
Complications like infrequent moments of pain, and reduced mobility. In my Father's case, it is his legs, but I imagine it could happen to someone's arms as well.
It's a property of Aura. Once there's a spark, it can be continued to be produced. The Core is what contains the Aura, so it doesn't just fly away. It's made of the same material as the machine my father built to extract his Aura in the first place.
Animals produce Aura, but I have not heard of a plant producing Aura.
From a visual inspection point, there are ways to show flashes of Aura, like this.
[A green sort of force-field shows around Penny's body for a few moments.]
My Father's Aura has patches. I think it might have to do with his age or that Aura, once damaged in the way, can't be healed. We do not have any other test cases to know for certain.
It can also be read using technology. The device can be attached to a person's body, but mine is internal, then it can be read through the Scroll.
[Well, he's putting giving part of his soul to a robot firmly on the "do not do" list. Losing mobility in either his arms or legs would make his dreams rather difficult to pursue. Though he does wonder if there is a way to generate Aura without giving any up first. A question for another time. For now, Rui awes at the force-field.]
That is amazing, I have to say.
[Although, he is realizing that he got the two of them off track. He turns back to his copy of the schematics to make sure he has everything copied down.
Meanwhile, one of the robots that call Rui's office home, one that had been hiding, jumps up onto the couch to join Penny. They look like a little blue and purple monster, if they were standing, they probably wouldn't even reach Penny's knee. They tilt their head at Penny.]
It will likely be a bit before I can get a prototype of these sensors completed. The 1st version I make will likely be too large to actually install, as I want to make sure the concept is sound before trying make a compact version. When that time comes, would you like to come back? Or would you rather wait until everything is ready to go?
[She's very fascinated, but still paying attention to Rui.]
I would be delighted to come back and take a look at the prototype. And, also, whenever you would wish to spend time together. You said you entertain people as well, right? I would love to come to one of your performances.
[Rui smiles at the interaction. He always worries a bit how people will react to Cy and also Zombunny, who is still in hiding, outside of shows. The monster robot leans into the petting.]
I call that one Cy like cyan for their blue color. When in free roaming mode like this, they usually stay to themself.
[Rui nods. He feels incredibly giddy about this budding new friendship.]
Wonderful~ I'll gladly take you up on that. And invite you to my scheduled performances. My street shows do tend to be a bit...spontaneous, but that's when my little friends here get a chance to shine as well.
[At the suggestion of learning to dance, Cy hops up and tries to dance on the couch to show off, almost immediately losing their balance and falling back on the cushions. Rui chuckles.]
I can teach you to dance. I think Cy may want to join us as well~ Most of my dance knowledge is related to choreography for musicals, but I find that the basics are the same, and a lot of choreography can be adapted into regular dancing.

[Thinking about it...]
Could you teach me how to dance?!
